v0.18.3 public beta · 21.6 MB ZIP · Windows x64 build tools · Python 3.11+ desktop application · Free noncommercial use
Before you start
- Python 3.11 or newer with Tcl/Tk.
- A supported 512-KiB PS1 BIOS dump from your own console.
- Your game CUE and every matching BIN track.
- Building games also needs the compiler, CMake and Windows SDK described in the included README.
Supported BIOS profiles
SCPH-1001 v2.2 (USA), SCPH-5501 (USA), SCPH-5500 (Japan) and SCPH-5552 (Europe). The program checks the BIOS identity before use.
Setup
- Extract the complete ZIP.
- Open Start-PS1-Remaker.cmd.
- Select your BIOS, then your game and output/save folders.
- Use the batch queue to build and test. Use Start-PS1-Player.cmd for existing compatible outputs.
Program updates
Use Update program to check for new releases, download and verify them, then choose Restart to update. The program updates its existing files and reopens from the same folder. Your settings, queues, builds and saves remain in their existing locations. Update port & test separately rebuilds an individual game. Earlier editions need this version once to adopt restart updates. Keep the existing program folder and shortcuts; replace its program files with this release. Future updates apply through the program.
Test status
110 automated tests passed, including mandatory BIOS checks. Windows execution, physical controllers and commercial-game compatibility of this public edition still need testing. This is a public beta; support varies by game.
Cheats and ray tracing are unavailable. Optional frame generation is experimental. Your BIOS and game data stay on your PC. No game or BIOS upload is part of the program.
